LEAP™
PrimaryPlus wants our communities to lead healthy lifestyles. The creation of the LEAP (Lifestyle Enhancement Activity Program) was first designed for employees of PrimaryPlus encouraging them to lead more active, healthier lives and to help reduce the cost of our companies insurance. Since then LEAP has been trademarked, marketed and taken out into the public eye for business and industries of all types and sizes. In January 2010, LEAP branched out once again to welcome its newest service-- occupational health. LEAP consists of 3 components: 1)Wellness 2) Occupational Health 3) Customized Comprehensive Program—each of these can be adapted to fit your employees need and the bottom line of your budget! Click here to view the LEAP brochure and learn more about our program. For more in depth marketing materials contact one of our LEAP representatives to arrange an appointment.

Kidz Care Fair
Back to School can be an overwhelming experience for both parents and their children. This event was designed by PrimaryPlus to bring a fun twist to the normal, sometimes dreaded back to school physical and shots. The Kidz Care Fair provides parents an opportunity to avoid the hectic rush of back to school physicals and/or immunizations while providing the children with a worry-free, fun-filled, carnival-like experience.

PrimaryPlus began providing scholarship dollars in 2004 to help encourage students who are interested in the health occupations field. The scholarship program has expanded with each new site, now offering the scholarship to high school seniors in Lewis, Fleming, Bracken and Mason County. Criteria for the scholarship are based on an essay explaining professional goals, grades/ACT/SAT scores, reference letters, involvement, and financial need. The three scholarships are valued at $500.00 each and are non-renewable.

The Cooper-Clayton program is a three phase methodology developed by Thomas Cooper, D.D.S. and Richard Clayton, Ph.D., an expert on drug addiction at the Kentucky School of Public Health at the University of Kentucky, the program has proven to be successful for many. There has been a 45% success rate in heavy smokers who have been active with the Cooper Clayton Method. PrimaryPlus makes it a goal to provide a variety of health education seminars and screening opportunities to the communities it serves. Our events target specific health issues that are most prevalent to our region. Through these events we are able to provide educational materials, health resources, as well as, guest speakers and screenings—all while having a lot of fun! Some of our past event topics include Heart Health, Women’s Health, Breast Cancer Awareness, PSA for men, Cholesterol Education, Diabetes Grocery Store Tours and more. We are also very fortunate and thankful to get to team up with organizations such as the Lewis County Extension Office, King’s Daughters Medical Center and other top-notch organizations to bring our patients opportunities to help take charge of their healthcare.

Part of being a community health center, is making sure you are community-minded and active in their well-being. That is why PrimaryPlus and its energetic employees involve themselves in many community activities whether it be community health fairs, job fairs, food drives or fundraising events. In 2009, PrimaryPlus employees organized 3 Relay for Life teams (known as the PrimaryPlus Peeps) and helped raise close to $4000 to help win the fight against cancer. Our employees understand that the best way to reach the Community is to be involved in the Community!
